Call for Expression of Interest for a Post-Doc Position at University of Pisa

We are looking for a motivated candidate for a post-doc position (24 months, 35k€/year gross salary) at the Department of Translational Research and of New Surgical and Medical Technologies of the University of Pisa.

The research activity will be conducted within the PNRR – Tuscany Health Ecosystem, in collaboration with the Dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Informazione and Imago 7 Foundation.
Specifically, the project will be related to the identification of early biomarkers of Parkinson Disease, merging structural and functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging data at ultra-high and high fields, 7 and 3 Tesla , electroencephalographic acquisitions, as well as behavioural and clinical data.

To reach this aim, the candidate will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in designing proper experimental paradigms, developing models of fMRI signal and noise by integrating physiological signals and expired gases, characterizing brain connectivity during rest by integrating EEG and fMRI data.

Requirements:

– PhD in bioengineering, physics or computational neuroscience
– Programming skills in Matlab and/or Python
– A solid background in biomedical image and signal processing, with application to the neuroscience field
