Human Neuroscience in Sport Sciences
Sports neuroscience investigates the neural underpinnings of sports performance by conjugating the approaches of neuroscience and sports sciences. Joint action is the basis of most cooperative and competitive sports performance. A recent approach to joint action neuroscience implies the multimodal recording of multiple neurophysiological signals integrated with information on movement kinematic from multiple subjects, and a multilevel analytical approach to explore the neural (brain dynamics), cognitive-behavioral (action, dynamics of body parts) and social (dynamics of the behavioral coordination) levels of interpersonal interaction.
